So you will know what
I believe.
- I believe in God, the Father, Who through His Son
and His Holy Spirit created all things.
- I believe in God's son, Jesus of Nazareth, Who was
born of a virgin; lived on earth as flesh and bone;
Who ministered by word and miracles; was arrested and
killed by crucifixion; Whom they buried, Who rose on
the third day; Who ascended into heaven, Who is seated
at the right hand of God; Who will return for those
who believe in and accept Him as Lord and Savior. This
Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah of Israel, the
Christ, the Savior of those who accept Him and who
turn their lives over to Him.
- I believe in the Holy Spirit of God, which Jesus
sent as Comforter after He ascended back to His
Father.
- I believe that the Holy Spirit is a gift to
believers, which gives gifts from God's grace to the
body for its blessing and benefit.
- I believe in the present ministry of the Holy
Spirit. That the Holy Spirit is the esense of God and
what connects both God and Christ, and those who have
recieved the Holy Spirit today (Christians).
- I believe that the Holy Spirit live in those who
have accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and invite
Christ into themselves to live.
- I believe that Christ Jesus, reigns in us, only as
we enthrone Him in our hearts.
- I believe that Jesus saves those who turn to Him,
and that He adds them to His Body.
- I believe that all true believers make up the body
of Christ. It is not a denomination, but made up of
those true believers in all Denominations, but not
nessessarly everyone in a Denomination.
- I believe that each Christian is thus a "body
part" - a functioning part of the Body of Christ. It
is in this Body that we serve Him, and we serve and
benefit each other. Acting individually or in concert
with other disciples, we serve others by tell them the
good news (gospel) about Jesus the Christ, and the
salvation He offers. It is also in this body that His
disciples jointly share everything and anything they
have, when they are with other believers. This is
fellowship.
- I believe that those who accept Him will be
immersed into Him, just as first century disciples
were.
- I believe in the resurrection of the dead, and
that the godly will be saved to live forever with God
in a place Jesus is now preparing, and that the
ungodly will be forever lost.
- I believe the aspect of being ungodly is a
personal action of the individual in that they have
rejected the word of God, and our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ!
- I believe the Bible to be the Guide Book for
Hummanity, and to be our guide for our faith and for
living.
- I believe we have lost the understanding of the
language that was used at the time the Books that now
make up the Bible were written in. That it is the Holy
Spirit that has the ability to translate these works.
But the problem is that we have a tendancy to limit
the Holy Spirit, by our won colored glasses. These
glasses are colored by our cultural / family /
spiritual up bringing. A sort of spiritual cateracs.
These careracs are removed by the Holy Spirit only
when we continue to study the Word of God and pray for
understanding. This can not be done alone completely,
and this is why group fellowship and Bible study is
important to a Christian. Read the bible at home isn't
enough because the Holy Spirit uses others (Fellow
Christians, Teachers, Pastors, Evangelists) to teach
and communicate truths to the body. This can not take
place if you limit God to one day or morning a week or
if you don't give Him any time at all.
- I believes in taking the good news (Gospel) about
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to all those who are
not saved, and in edifying the body of Christ.
- I do believe that full time ministries should be
paid. That it is ok to have a Church building, and
that the fellowship that uses it should keep it up.
That 95% of offerings/tithes given to the church
should be used for the needy, ophans and widows as we
are told in the new testiment unless other wise
specified. This should be the priority of the church,
not the building itself. A church that spends most or
all of its income on the church building, and not for
the ophans, widows or the poor has it's prioritys
backwards. God tells us to put our treasures where our
hearts are. When we put it in a big beautiful
building, we have our reward in the possition of the
building. When we care for the poor, ophans and
widows, we build our reward in heaven. It can't be
seen by man, but it is worth much more.
